“The
website covered everything my child needs to know when reading a book
and doing a book report. It is great how it is divided up into different
stages of reading (previewing, predictiong, after you read the story).
I love how it breaks every stage into different steps. Sorting the characters
and having characteristics you can drag and drop under each character
made it easy to complete each stage and organize thoughts. Using this
website gives a great starting point for a book report and leads the child
the whole way through the report. It is also nice the way it gives "extra"
information so my child can learn even more about the book she is reading.”

“The
idea of helping children learn how to "tackle" reading a book
and understanding what is going on in a story is wonderful. The different
"steps" are clearly articulated as a book is introduced and
also through each stage in the reading process. These concepts, once learned
by a student, will help them throughout all their school years.”

“I
think the site is definitely a useful tool for both students and teachers.
I think helps teachers significantly reduce their time with actual papers.”

– Martha Adams, 4th grade teacher
“They are excited about going to the computer lab . . .
The children were very focued on completing the task.”
– Nacy Hamill, 4th grade teacher
“Students really enjoyed this alternate method of teacher directed
reading. Reviewed reading skills that have been taught all year –
actually saw what I have been teaching on a computer screen! Looking forward
to my next computer lab visit!”
- Susan Grugan, 4th grade teacher
“I am able to allow all students to work at their own pace rather
than have everyone follow along lock and step. The kids love using the
computer. They are able to do the same kinds of paper/pencil skills we
would do in class in a new and innovative way.”
- Tracey Roberts, 2nd grade teacher
